1. Pain and musculoskeletal problems
NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) guidelines now recommend that GPs offer a course of 10 acupuncture sessions as a first-line treatment for persistent, non-specific low back pain. Our therapists – acupuncturists, osteopaths, physiotherapists and sports massage therapists – have helped many people find lasting relief from all types of pain.

4. Digestive health
Digestive problems such as IBS, bloating and food sensitivities respond well to a combined approach of acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and nutritional therapy. Our therapists take the time to understand the root cause of your symptoms rather than simply masking them.
5. Research and evidence
Research has shown that acupuncture is significantly better than no treatment, and at least as effective as (if not better than) standard medical care for back pain. It appears to be particularly useful as an adjunct to conventional care, for patients with more severe symptoms and for those wishing to avoid analgesic medication. It may also help with back pain during pregnancy and work-related back pain, with fewer work days lost as a result.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) recognises acupuncture as an effective treatment for a wide range of health conditions. Recent systematic reviews continue to confirm its effectiveness for chronic pain, headaches, menopausal symptoms and a number of other conditions treated at our clinic.
